Peer Evaluations – post in the assignment folder
Peer Evaluation grades. (5% of grade).
Each team must design a way to evaluate each member of the team. There
are many ways to evaluate individuals. You may use a check off list of criteria
for working in the group. You could devise a Leikert scale type evaluation (a
five point scale of poor, marginal, average, good excellent). Each group member must use the same
evaluation format within that group. For
example, there are four members of my group. I must give each person in the
group some sort of grade. This could be a numerical grade, as in – 88% – or a letter grade, as in B+. Each person in the group must grade every
other person including one’s self. Each
group will most likely have a different evaluation form – this is to be
expected.
THEN: YOU MUST ALSO INCLUDE A RANKING OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL IN
YOUR GROUP — INCLUDING YOUR SELF. For example if there are four people in the
group you must assign a ranking from 1 to 4 for each person. The person who contributes the most to the
group should be given the number one (1). There may be no ties. For each group
member, state what the person did well and what the person could have done
better in the group process.
Once you grade, rank and add the comments for each member of
the group – please include the following. You, as the person in charge of this
project, have been given $1000 to award the members of your group upon
completion of the project. You may divide the money any way you see fit. If you
feel one person should get the entire $1000 that would be OK. If you share
equally among all members that is OK – Absolutely any allocation is OK. Tell me
how much – if any amount each person will be getting including yourself if you
allocate money to yourself. You must use the entire $1,000.
NOTE: This grade will
be worth 5% of your final grade. This will be based upon the grades each member
of the team awards – and the professor’s discretion. If you give every member
of your group the same grade I will be unimpressed. No two people ever perform exactly
the same. Read the document Grading & Ranking in Course Content in Module
Eleven before you complete this assignment.
