Directions:This assignment will assess the following competency: 3. Analyze leadership attributes.

Leadership for quality is based on the following principles: customer focus, obsession with quality, recognizing of the structure of work, freedom through control, unity of purpose, looking for faults in systems, team-work, continuing education and training, emphasis on best practices and peak performance.

This assignment has two parts. You must have both parts to receive full credit.

Part I: Create a table in a Word document. See example. Example is in the attachment

Analyze your strengths and weaknesses based on the leadership principles. Think about how will you focus on your strengths and mitigate your weaknesses. Why should this be an important career goal for you? Include your analysis in the appendix of your paper.

Part II: Write a 1000 – 1500 word, APA style paper.

In your paper include the following:

1. Include a cover sheet, well-formed thesis statement in your introduction, body of the paper, conclusion, and appendix.
2. In the body of the paper, define and explain each leadership principle listed above. (Note: use headers in your paper to delineate each leadership principle.)
3. Explain how each leadership principle aligns with a total quality setting. Give examples.
4. Explain how a leader could focus on their strengths and mitigate their weaknesses, and why it would be important for a leader to focus on developing these quality principles during their career.
