Assignment Guidelines

Overview

The assignment
is to create a Six Sigma project leading to improved current process or the
creation of a new process within a company or product line (real or
fictitious). Based on the knowledge obtained in this course and previous course
work, you will examine and apply DMAIC/DMADV methodologies, project management
techniques, risk management, cost, schedule, and resource management, milestone
creation, and performance index monitoring.

The course
project enables you to apply the course material to identify a process in need
of improvement or to design a new process from scratch. As a team, you will
need to identify scope of the project, goals, and outcome, as well as which Six
Sigma methodology is most appropriate in your project. Since this is an eight-week
course, make sure that you select process/project that can be completed within
a semester.

Additionally,
each team member will be required to submit an individual reflective short
paper in Module Eight. The rubric for this is included below.

Note:Please
make sure that all of your documents are submitted as MS Office 2007 files.
