Background:
The case (included with “Assessment Prompt” email) ends with the Director’s commitment to move forward with a Payday rule, though some members of the leadership team believe that it would be beneficial to consider other tools. Strategy office has been asked to facilitate a discussion where the senior leaders will present a recommendation to the Director to consider tools and actions outside of rulemaking.
Activity:
Please share a draft presentation (2-3 slides minimum) of a presentation to the Director (include mockups, etc.) that includes:
- Objectives of the meeting
- Summary of the key problems in the payday market
- Data visualization: We would also like to convert exhibits 3 and 6 to data tables. Create visualizations of the information contained there.
- Summary of situation at hand
- Decision for the Director
- Recommended next steps
- Other items for longer term consideration (ex. Other stakeholders in the Bureau that would be interested in the outcomes)
