Read the following case study:
A team is established to develop an IT application repository. The repository will store information about all
the application systems developed in the company. This is a global company with IT development shops in
China, India, the United States, and Canada.
Some of the issues the team leader faces are:
A lack of knowledge of technology
A lack of participation due to timing of meetings
No or a poorly written agenda
Selection of team members prior to selection of the team leader
Unknown skills and representation of members
No team website so poor collaboration and sharing of project documentation
Meeting minutes not written
Deliverables not completed on time
Missed deadlines
Internal member conflict
Inability of members to connect or participate using the available technology
No consistent scheduling or calendar tool so meeting invite not received by many
Technology not working properly
No contribution of ideas by members because of being ridiculed and dominated upon by more
vocal members
Language barriers for members outside the United States
No conflict management plan

Identify the steps and processes the team leader must perform to address the issues and get the team
back on track.
