2016.

5. Every
student is required to upload the Research Report on the portal before the due
date of submission individually with his Name, Students Id and Section on the
first page.

6. Use
the file name specified by the instructor for the assignment (normally your

7. For
any work submitted after due date, one mark shall be deducted for each day from
the awarded marks.

8.
No assignment shall be
accepted after the final exam has started.

TASK:

Select
any service organizationwith which you are
familiar. Write a paper about it with the following sections:

1. Introduction
– Give a brief overview of the company
including its services, location & history.

2. Product
– Describe the service in more detail.

3. Process
– Give an overview and flow diagram of
the service process.

4. Location
– Explain why your business is located
where it is. Discuss issues pertinent to its location.

5. Layout
– What type of layout does your company
have? What is the rationale behind the layout? How does the organization manage
bottlenecks?

6. Supply-Chain
Management –

a. What
is the supply chain strategy for your company?

b. Discuss
how the supply chain is managed.

7. Summarize
by linking the service operations
strategies to the mission and goals. You may make recommendations for
improvements.
