Leadership has many aspects to it. One of the most important aspects of leadership is applying the knowledge
you learn about leadership in ways that have a positive impact on the world in which we, as leaders, live.
Kouzes and Posner (2004) provided the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®, which is a well-researched
and documented approach to the actual practice of leadership for positive change in the world. Learning to
apply leadership lessons is a beginning step in changing your world.
For each of the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership explained in Christian Reflections on the Leadership
Challenge, complete the following:
a. In your own words, what does each mean to you? Identify each element and why it is important.
b. Describe one example of each leadership practice from your experience. The example may be from your
personal life or it can be business-related. Each example must include at least one of the respective
commitments of leadership for each of the respective leadership practices shown on page 38. Each
example must be at least one full paragraph.
c. This paper should be 2-3 pages in length following APA guidelines.
