Project Managers: You are in the midst of managing your project execution. This
takes a lot of dedication, communication, and critical thinking, as you are
responsible for keeping the project to track and within budget. However, in
this unit an unexpected event occurs that puts a monkey wrench into your
project plan. You will have to use your problem solving and critical thinking
skills to somehow, some way solve the problem with the goal of keeping your
project on track as best you can. Finally, in this Assignment you will consider
ethical, legal, and/or socials issues regarding your project when it goes into
a production environment by writing a paper. Good luck!
IT Project Managers
In this unit, you will continue executing your project plan.
While doing so, an unplanned event occurs that you must overcome. In addition,
you will conduct another status meeting with the key stakeholders and report on
project progress and status. Identify any risks that have occurred and/or been
identified and how they are being addressed, as well as any effect on the
critical path and project outcome.
Regarding the unplanned event that you encounter, be
prepared to challenge yourself. You can pick the challenge. Here are some examples:
• • A key member leaves the team
• • The budget has been cut by 10%
• • The schedule has been moved to a week earlier
By conducting a meeting with the key stakeholders and
reporting on project status, you will overcome the unplanned event and come up
with a solution. In addition, you will identify the risks, how they may be
addressed, and any effect on the critical path and project outcome.
