Globalization is not an overnight occurrence and has been in development since the dawn of mankind. As cultures interchanged and exchanged products, and ideas migrated to other areas, commerce has followed. So, the advent of complete globalization has always been “When” not an “If”. This has accelerated greatly with the technology boom, transportation advances, and electronic commerce.
We have all seen the advantages of globalization; the movement of produce at a quicker rate from the production line to the destination point, an increased selection of produce for consumers, lower prices due to increased competition, and overall increase in profit for businesses that participate in the process.
