Find a real-world application of Porters Competitive Force (you can analyze examples you find online or in your real-world experience). In your initial post, please do the following:
- Write a title/heading for your concept.
- Provide link(s) if you used internet sources to select examples.
- Summarize the example case.
- Apply and analyze the concept in regards to the example.
For example, if you choose to discuss the value configuration of an organization, you can perhaps:
- Label your discussion as ‘Value Configuration’
- Identify the organization you selected for the discussion
- Provide a web link to the home web page of the organization you selected for this discussion
- Include a brief summary about some key products/services offered by the organization, and
- Justify why you selected that organization (if there is a special reason such as it being your workplace, or the company being one of your favorites for some reason).
Then you can:
- Identify the value configuration(s) applicable to the organization, and
- Provide a justification as to why the value configuration(s) apply(ies) to the organization.
Note that ‘Value configuration’ is only an example of a concept you may select. You are free to select any other concept from this week’s lecture content for your discussion. It does not have to be value configuration.
