- Select the organization where you are employed and examine the organizational chart and structure. After the examination, discuss the span of control. Does the span of control differ at various levels of the organization? Include in your discussion about your organization’s structure at least two of the five aspects common to all organizational structures: whether it is centralized or decentralized; whether your organization is horizontal, hourglass, network, or virtual in design; and the role the contingency approach played in your organizational design.
