HW#1: Written assignment. Bring this to class on Sept 12/14 for class discussion, and submit to the dropbox. 1-3 pages (I prefer 14pt, single spaced.)
- Leadership Traits: Review the handouts posted in the Leadership Intro folder, and the textbook pages 443-446 and table 13.2. Identify the key traits, skills, derailers, and attributes (good or bad) that might be seen in leaders. Think about a few leaders or managers you know. How would you describe the leaders using these characteristics? Use examples of behaviors if you can.
- How would you describe the presidential candidates based on these characteristics? (Try to evaluate each person based on the characteristics in the book/handouts, rather than their political beliefs, or how much you like/dislike them.)
- What female leaders do you know? Do you believe that male and female leaders have similar or dissimilar traits and behavior
ADDED: 4. Review the values model at the beginning of chapter 2. Identify 1-2 values that best fit your leader(s) and provide examples of behaviors or other evidence of that value.
