The Effect of Technology on Career Fields
Conduct research to determine how technology has shaped work as an office manager over the last two decades. Look for evidence of ways that technology has changed all areas of your career field, including the number of employees needed to do the job, the way employees communicate, and the physical environment in which they work. Include a substantiated prediction of how technology will shape the future of this career field twenty years from now. For example, will there be more or fewer jobs available? How will the employee duties change? What kind of specialized training do you predict will be required to work in your field twenty years from now?
