All I need is a rewriting/paraphrasing of the following sections.
Mission, Vision, Values—Preliminary Review (3-4 paragraphs)
A mission statement, vision, and values are important aspects to have behind any organization. What sets companies apart is the ability to make these as they relate to the customers and the employees. StilSim’s mission statement is, “To find quality employees for businesses in the communities we serve”. In essence, this has everything to do with the customers. This is not necessarily a bad thing, but bear in mind that the customers may ask how this might be done. It is with note that everyone wants to do a decent job however; a clear understanding of the expectations surrounding the mission statement for all employees is also necessary. It doesn’t appear that everyone at the firm is on the same understanding of what is expected. In a sense, there seems to be some confusion between assisting the customers and ensuring we are consistent throughout the organization.
Judging from the initial mission statement and values, it does not appear to be any type of driving vision for the longevity of StilSim Personnel. This says two things for the employees and the customers. For our employees, it is stating that there isn’t job security here and they may begin to search for new jobs leaving the company in bind of knowledgeable and skilled employees. As for our customers, it says something similar, but in a sense, it would appear that we really just don’t care and we’ll do what it takes for you pay us top dollar for whatever we give you.
Through my tenure here at StilSim so far, there has been a mixture of values from the employees I have encompassed. Some employees such as Sue, the special projects manager, have an optimistic view of helping get StilSim back on track. Their ideas and wheels in their brains are consistently turning leading me to believe that we will have support behind building a quality strategy. However, individuals like Aleah seem to not really care and only showcase their basic understanding of what we do. Therefore, the values between employees differ greatly. Leading this down to a level platform will be essential to ensuring the longevity of StilSim Personnel and help all feel a little more motivated about getting their jobs done more efficiently and effectively.
Summary of Internal Analysis (1-2 paragraphs)
Throughout this internal analysis, I was able to capture many pertinent pieces that are both affecting the company as well as are helping the company. The overall idea here is to form a collaborative approach and leverage all of these pieces sop that StilSim Personnel can work be more effective and efficient within the staffing industry, as well as continuing to not just beat the competition, but to also out run them ensuring StilSim has the leading edge in the market. When viewing the value chain, we can see how and why these pieces can provide some extreme opportunities for StilSim however, the value chain can only take us so far in regards to the strategy. We must also embrace the current core competencies and resources while building upon each, which should ultimately contribute to the growth of the business.
While those two pieces are pertinent, we must also consider the stakeholders of the organization and how changes to those pieces will affect each of them. When we forget about our stakeholders, we set ourselves up for a potential failure. Hopefully the impact will align and shed some light on a new mission statement and values throughout the organization. Understanding the stakeholders’ impact to the change in strategy will help design the new statements and make the organization stronger. Therefore, it is no secret I have covered a lot but it is with good reason that the exploration of each of these will help develop one of the most elaborate strategies that will build a long and successful organization for more years to come. As mentioned earlier however, we must also conduct a financial analysis so that there is a complete understanding of how both the external and internal factors are hurting or helping the business.
Organizational Capabilities Strengths and Weaknesses
When we consider the organizational capability strengths of StilSim, we again must venture back into what the core competencies are of the organization. The interesting thing about this particular section is that while the competency somewhat plays into a strength for StilSim, what they are not doing with it, in terms of an organizational capability, acts as a weakness. Consider the credibility of the firm having been around for 25 years, it is something that not only can they show their success stories for during this tenure, but also one they can use to leverage the skills and expertise of their staff. Without the right people and ideas being generated from talented individuals, most business would parish well before making it to a 25-year mark. This correlates to two other pertinent pieces within this section, their networking capabilities and the service for which they can provide.
They have many great clients all of which can give the company an abundance of positions to staff. The matter is there is a sincere necessity to play off of these connections and network to build more of these relationships ultimately contributing to more positions and therefore, more revenue. This simple credibility can also correlate to the specific nature of their services. They have the ability to provide both temp and perm placements. With the networking factor, the ability to break into another market and industry are at the highest peak of which they are not currently embracing. Of course there are important variances that would help to make this easier like the use of social media per say, but when broken down in its simplest form, there is a common ground to filter all of these together and build upon what the organization already has.
