I need help with this discussion post:

Chapter 9 focuses on hypothesis testing. This is a process that allows you to start with a belief about the values of a variable, and then use a statistical test to determine whether our belief is different than the population value. For our purposes, we will be conducting hypothesis tests about the values of the population mean.

In the lecture notes, an example of a hypothesis test comparing the average price of gas from a sample of this years summer (we assume it is $2.64) has been developed, to the overall average price of a gallon of gas in the summer of 2008.

In the discussion posts, develop your own example. Provide us a brief description, your research question, and the null and alternative hypotheses. Also mention if it is a upper-tail, lower-tail, or two-tailed test?

So far we have done inference for a population mean and a population proportion, each for a single population.
