GROUP DISCUSSION BOARD FORUMS INSTRUCTIONS

You will complete 8 Group Discussion Board Forums in this
course. Group Discussion Board Forums 1 and 8 have a different format from Group
Discussion Board Forums 2–7.

Group Discussion Board Forums 1 and 8

Group Discussion Board Forums 1 and 8 are graded as
individual discussions that require a response to the provided prompt for each
forum. For each forum, you will create a thread that must be 500–750 words,
incorporate at least 2 peer-reviewed sources and 1 biblical integration, and
demonstrate course-related knowledge. In addition to the thread, you will reply
to the threads of at least 2 classmates. Each reply must be 450–600 words,
incorporate at least 2 peer-reviewed sources and 1 biblical integration, and
include substantive content. All sources must be cited in current APA format.

For Group Discussion Board Forum 1, submit your thread by
11:59 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday and your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of
Module/Week 1.

For Group Discussion Board Forum 8, submit your thread by
11:59 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday and your replies by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday of
Module/Week 8.

Group Discussion Board Forums 2–7

Group Discussion Board Forums 2–7 are graded as group
discussions. Each forum has 2 parts, and each part is unique, with specific
requirements. Each forum also requires a consolidated final submission from the
group. You will be enrolled in a group determined by your instructor. The group
assignments can be found by clicking on the “Group Discussion” link within the
course.

Part 1

Individually, you will submit a thread of 500–750 words
answering at least 1 of the questions from the prompt. You must work
collectively to ensure that your group has answered all of the questions from
the prompt by the Part 1 submission deadline. To do this efficiently, your
group may decide to assign who will answer each question.

• Some
answers will require a paragraph-style response whereas others will be best
answered with a table or bullet points; use the style that is most appropriate
for the specific question.

• Each
answer must be supported by references to at least 2 peer-reviewed sources and
1 biblical integration.

• Use
proper grammar and current APA format.

As the individual submission is very important to the
group’s final product, it must meet the requirements as noted above. This gives
the group a strong foundation for the group submission and ensures that each
member is working toward adding value to the group.

If you do not meet the submission deadline for Part 1, you
cannot participate in Part 2 and will earn a 0 for that forum.

Submit Part 1 by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday of the
assigned module/week.

Part 2

As a group, extensively discuss the threads from Part 1,
offering comments, critiques, and suggestions for improvements on each thread
in order to create the best answer for each question. You must reply to at
least 2 group members’ threads, addressing at least 1 strength and 1 weakness
per reply. Each reply must be 450–600 words, reference at least 2 peer-reviewed
sources, and include 1 biblical integration. All group members must participate
equally in the group discussion and provide input into the Final Group Answers
for each forum.

• Your
group must support each final answer with references to at least 2
peer-reviewed sources and 1 biblical integration.

• Do not
submit discussions as Microsoft Word documents. You are welcome to include
attachments to assist with consolidation, but the primary content for your
posts must be included in the body of the discussion area (opening files is an
inconvenience when the same information can be reviewed within the post).

• Liberty
University sets these standards/criteria to ensure that some students do not
attempt to take advantage of the group environment. The most common problem
students have is that they fail to participate in a substantive way during Part
2.

• Use
proper grammar and current APA formatting.

If you do not meet the submission deadline and participation
requirements for Part 2 you will earn a 0 for the forum.

Submit Part 2 by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Saturday of the assigned
module/week.

Final Group Answers Submission

Once your group has agreed upon its final answers, 1
designated group member will collect the Final Group Answers for each question
and consolidate them into 1 document that he or she will submit through the
Final Group Answers assignment link found in the Assignments folder for the
assigned module/week.

As you work on these assignments, remember the Liberty
University Online Honor Code. Also, make sure you read the course information
on plagiarism; resist the temptation to “review” your classmates’ work before
submitting your own or use it to “help” you. These approaches violate the
Liberty University Online Honor Code, as would reviewing work from the Internet
or other sources; you must answer the questions on your own.

The designated group member (whether you or another) must
submit the Final Group Answers through the assignment link in the Assignments
folder by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Sunday of the assigned module/week.
