Assignment #2 Stakeholder Analysis (Week 2)
Purpose: Learn to identify relevant stakeholders for a
project of interest and assess how each stakeholder may influence or be
impacted by the project.
Outcomes Met With This Assignment:
contribute to a team activity to accomplish the goals of a
project, recognizing the unique strengths and talents of individual team
members
use appropriate technologies for researching, documenting,
and communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Instructions:
This assignment is the second of seven team
assignments. As a team, you will
complete the stakeholder matrix for the project your team selected in Week 1.
NOTE: All submitted
work is to be your original work. You may not use any work from another
student, the Internet or an online clearinghouse. You are expected to understand the Academic
Dishonesty and Plagiarism Policy, and know that it is your responsibility to
learn about the instructor’s and general academic expectations with regard to
proper citation of sources as specified in the APA Publication Manual, 6th Ed.
(Students are held accountable for in-text citations and an associated
reference list only.)
Step 1: Brainstorm –
Stakeholder Analysis
Task 1: Under
Discussion on the main navigation bar, locate your group.
Task 2: In the LEO
classroom (do not use external systems), participate in a brainstorming and
collaboration session to identify stakeholders for the project the team
selected.
Task 3: Work with the
project team to discuss:
) what each
stakeholder wants from the project;
) how each
stakeholder could contribute to or hinder the project’s success; and
) how the project
may affect each stakeholder’s day-to-day life.
Step 2: Generate the Stakeholder Analysis Matrix
Task 1: Open the Stakeholder Analysis Matrix template
located in the Content area of Week 2.
Task 2: Complete each column for every stakeholder
identified by the group.
Step 3: Review the
Matrix
Review the matrix to ensure all required elements are
present and correct.
Step 4: Submit the
Assignment in the Assignment Folder.
Have one member of the team submit the assignment to the Assignment
Folder. When submitting the file,
indicate which group members contributed to the assignment.
