Managing Team Conflict
Learning Activity #1
While conflicts are a common aspect of working
together and can even be beneficial to a team, they
can also negatively affect team performance. Name
a team whose team performance was negatively
impacted by conflict or a team member’s
dysfunction. Also, include how the team was
negatively impacted. (Do not use your team within
this course.)
Learning Activity #2
In earlier teams you’ve worked on; what did you
do that you felt made an impact on the team’s
performance? (This can be a positive or negative
experience.) Was your team diverse (not based
only on race or gender. However, to include of a
different kind, form, character, etc.) and how did
this affect the team, project, or outcome? What
were your ideas for addressing conflict and/or
challenges?
