Overview
Select a company’s product or service that is sold internationally. Determine and describe the attributes that are needed for it to be marketed in a particular country. For example, Kit Kat bars are a phenomenon in Japan and marketed quite differently (please do not use this example).
Refer to concepts in the unit’s readings.
Instructions
- Choose a product(s) or service sold by a specific company (Ford, Coco-Cola, McDonalds, etc.) to consumers, such as a beverage, phone service, food product. Identify and define one country (India, China, Japan, etc.) where the product/service will be sold outside of the company’s home country.
- Examine what may be included: packaging, different sizes/volumes, major product changes (example: an American car sold in England must be right-hand drive, etc.), cultural differences, marketing changes? Recognize obstacles that may be faced by the company. In 300-400 words, relate the product and your assessment to concepts in the readings and evaluate the attributes needed for marketing into the selected country. Images can be inserted to support your work. Include citations and references.
Incorporate in-text citations and a correctly formatted reference, to properly document your resource.
