Have to set up a world-class distribution center. The first thing you need to do is find the following equipment:
- In line scale – capable of handling weights up to 50 pounds
- Dock Scale – capable of handling weights up to one ton
- Forklift scale – capable of handling one ton
- Folding reusable plastic totes
- Lockable metal roll cage
- Portable conveyor to be used in direct loading and unloading of shipping containers
- Reusable air bags – large
- One used 20 ft. intermodal container to be used as storage shed
After locating the list of equipment, you must prepare a report for the President of the company. The report is to consist of three quotes for each of the above named pieces of equipment. Each quote must list the following: model number, vendor, specifications, cost.
Have to recommend one item in each category and justify that recommendation for purchasing. Remember this is a management report and must be presented in a format suitable for the President of the company.
