Essay about a culture (Colombia). Blue print already made for you.

So i need to make the following below into a real essay and add stuff onto it.

I. Country Background Information

Columbia is located at the top portion of South America. This country is known for its restaurants, bars, and shopping centers. This country is a major producer of gold, silver, emeralds, platinum and coal.As of 2016, the population of Colombia is 46,245,297, and covers a total land area of 439,736 sq miles. As of today, Colombia’s government is a republic with Juan Manuel Santos and its president. The country is mostly made up of spanish speaking citizens and 90% of the population are Roman Catholic. Colombia’s economy relies on exporting goods like petroleum, coffee, coals and bananas. These items make over $61 billion every year for the country in revenues. Many countries buy and trade chemicals, oil, gas industry equipment, electricity and other items costing to total of $41 billion, US, China, Germany being couple of them. Colombia has concluded free trade agreements with Canada and European Union and is working with China to strengthen economic relations. (Colombia 1)

II. Business Proposal: Exporting to; importing from; investing in; outsourcing from,; offshoring to… country XYZ

Right now, the cosmetics industry is the best thing to invest in in Colombia. The government is supporting this by giving lot of tax breaks and opportunities. It looks very profitable for foreign investors as of now. Currently, the country the fastest growing sector is the cosmetic industry. This is mainly because it’s offering many tax breaks for factory constructions and low labor costs.

III. Reasons for Proposal

A. Shortage of; abundance of; availabity of; …………..

Not only is cosmetics industry, the fastest growing industry in Colombia, but it’s the most profitable due to its governmental advantages. The country has positive characteristics and advantages such as tax breaks for construction of factories and low labor costs with plenty of human capital available for employment. (5. Invest in Colombia)

B. Free trade access to due to (Free Trade Agreement) good Trade Relations….. [

Colombia’s consumer base is staggering as they have access to over 1.5 billion consumers. Their government’s ability to set a goal to establish free trade agreements and effectively pull it off with countries around the region and world has created a new bloom on its economic flower. The purpose of this proposal is only beginning to be seen as new economic alliances now include 11 agreements with 48 countries. (Colombia 5) They’re also looking to increase trade promotion for Colombia. The U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement would provide significant commercial opportunities. Colombia is the 14th largest market for U.S. chemicals exports and it’s estimated that duties paid on exports of U.S. chemical products to Colombia were nearly $480 million from 2008 to 2010. Tariff elimination could allow U.S. firms to reinvest in technology and production improvements. More than 86 percent of U.S. chemicals exports to Colombia would receive duty-free treatment immediately upon implementation of the U.S.-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement. (Colombia 6)

C. Growth rate of Country XYZ’s economy driving increased consumer disposable income

“According to Juan Carlos Castro, representative of the national manufacturers’ association (ANDI), direct sales of beauty products through catalogues represent 32% of the domestic market, which is the second biggest share in Latin American region after Peru. Meanwhile, a study by Kantar Worldpanel revealed that an overall participation of catalogue sales in Colombia reached 7.1% in 2015, with a household penetration rate of 85%. Furthermore, an average family purchased seven different products through direct sales in 2015, with cosmetics firm Yanbal recognised as a leader with 2% share of sales, followed by Avon andBelcorp with 1.8% portions each, while Natura gained a 0.4% share.” (Colombia 2)

IV. Conclusion

The reasons I chose the cosmetics industry in Colombia is because of the growth rate of the cosmetics industry in Colombia, tax breaks and other governmental advantages, and good outlook on the future with free trade agreements.
