First, Research the organizations in terms of organizational growth. Based on the specifics
discussed in Greiner’s model, identify the period of growth that the organization is currently in. Is the
organization experiencing a period of growth (evolution) or a period of crisis (revolution)?
Secondly, to determine the growth phase, you must identify the organizational and managerial
practices that coincide with the phases identified as part of the growth model. In order to implement
effective change initiatives, it is imperative that organizations carefully assess and understand the
growth phase of the organization. To focus your discussion, you should include the table outlining
the 5 characteristics of the growth phase, within your paper. An awareness of this growth phase will
allow management to implement focused change strategies based on internal and external factors
impacting the organization.
Lastly, identify any counterproductive practices that may prevent the organization from moving
forward on the growth model. Greiner’s model offers insight into the importance of understanding
