Week 6 Discussion: Love Thy Neighbor
in our ever changing and complex society.
Brooks has done an excellent job of preparing us for the role of
parenting and now that we are here what are the challenges that are now
faced. Think about how the role of
parenting has had to change due to the ever-increasing demands that we all
face. With so many families being dual
earners coupled with the demands of parenting, when is there time for families
to engage in those activities that bond them together and create lasting
memories.
Do you live in a neighborhood or community where
you are connected to those around you?
If you do then you are lucky but a study conducted by State Farm finds
that only 25% of us actually know our neighbors name. Being connected to your neighbors and having
a relationship with them has many positive benefits that so many are missing
out on. I know for me it opened up so
many more resources and allowed me to create lasting memories. Check out the below video and let me know
