Unit 3 Learning Activity: Applied Project
Option 1: Use Your Organization to Create an Effective Online Employee Orientation Program.
An Applied Project is a reality-based paper that focuses on a particular aspect of a unit. For each Applied Project paper Assignment, you are to visit your organization’s HRD department (in most cases this will be the HR department) to conduct research into the professional activities your organization are involved in. In the absence of working for an organization or your organization is too small to support an HR department and HRD (Employee Development) activities you can substitute Option 2: HR Scenario listed below. In either case, you will write up a report of your findings. This report should be five double-spaced pages in length and you will need to include at least three (3) referred or peer-reviewed references other than those you have covered in the course (such as the assigned reading articles and textbook). All references and citations should follow APA format. Review the Assignment specifications below.
Your paper for the option you selected should cover the following:
A thorough review of the content required in an effective online employee orientation program in the chosen organization
An explanation as to why the content described can be effectively handled online rather than using a face -to-face approach
The considerations that a HRD professional should bear in mind when designing an online employee orientation program and how this may affect the “look and feel” of the online program.
Option 2: Use this HR Scenario to Create an Effective Online Employee Orientation Program
