Assignment Guidelines
Overview
The assignment
is to create a Six Sigma project leading to improved current process or the
creation of a new process within a company or product line (real or
fictitious). Based on the knowledge obtained in this course and previous course
work, you will examine and apply DMAIC/DMADV methodologies, project management
techniques, risk management, cost, schedule, and resource management, milestone
creation, and performance index monitoring.
The course
project enables you to apply the course material to identify a process in need
of improvement or to design a new process from scratch. As a team, you will
need to identify scope of the project, goals, and outcome, as well as which Six
Sigma methodology is most appropriate in your project. Since this is an eight-week
course, make sure that you select process/project that can be completed within
a semester.
Additionally,
each team member will be required to submit an individual reflective short
paper in Module Eight. The rubric for this is included below.

make sure that all of your documents are submitted as MS Office 2007 files.

To successfully complete this project, you will be expected to apply
what you have learned in this course, including the following objectives:

Requirements of submission: Written
components of projects must follow these formatting guidelines when applicable:
double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman or Arial font, one-inch margins, and
APA citations. This paper should be 8–15 pages in length not including the
cover page or resources. Please ensure that all of your assignments have a
cover sheet, as outlined by the APA Manual.
