For my research paper I would like to talk about Abigail Adams. I would like to explore the
depths from where she came, leading up to her status as first lady. I would like to also talk about
the sacrifices that she made to be a powerful woman of her time.
Requirements for paper
*Do independent research (MAKING SURE TO DOCUMENT Your SOURCES!) to form an
evidence based historical argument that contains the following:
•A brief introduction to your event or person (no more than ½ a page) What is the event/who is
the person you researched in brief?
•Be specific and use credible evidence to argue in detail, how and why your person or event is
historically significant in American history?
•Be specific and use credible evidence to argue in detail, how and why this person or event has
been excluded from conventional histories, such as our American Promise textbook?
•Be specific and use credible evidence to argue in detail, how would the usual narrative of
conventional histories, such as our American Promise textbook be changed if your event/person
was included?
*The paper should include quotes, but for a paper of this length 5 to 7 quotes is plenty.
