Assignment: When business adopt a perspective towards information strategies, it may be difficult to change or evolve. In other words, the overall cultural perspective may prevent seeing the correct path to success, especially when it comes to information and a competitive infrastructure. Time, resources, and a great deal of though may be invested in ensuring information infrastructure are secure, competitive, and cannot be modeled by other competing companies. One way to measure the success of this strategy is by identifying the primary stakeholders and determining the success of establishing and managing relationship through the infrastructure, and the ability to reach above average returns. Additionally, the information infrastructure and stakeholder management strategies may be different when compared between for-profit and non-profit companies.
1. Select either a non-profit or for-profit entity and identity who product, market, organization, and capital market shareholders may be in relation to a competitive information infrastructure.
2. For each stakeholder, identify a strategy to ensure their position as a valid stakeholder in the information infrastructure is maintained in their best interest.
3. Assuming conflict will occur among these stakeholder, how will you decide which stakeholder is attended to first and why?
4. The protection and security of the information infrastructure can be viewed as negative by your stakeholder, but actions must be taken to maintain the viability of the overall information system. If stakeholder voice concern over the financial cost associated with the upkeep of the information infrastructure, how would you assure them that your financial action are sound?
