have read in the course. Use references that we have used in our classes in order to clarify some aspects
of the topics. You have 120 minutes to work on the exam. Submit it using regular assignment submission
system on Moodle.
1. Based on what you have read/studied about the decision making process, data warehouse
structure, problems that you can solve in prediction, data mining etc. please explain how you
could use these tools/concepts to support a public transit transportation company in your city.
Assume that the goal is to reduce the number of customers’ complains.
2. Assuming that you are working for the university how do you think that a DSS can be used for
improving the work professor/student and to improve the teaching learning process? Take as a
main goal: to improve historical data to manage the good academic level of the school.
Remember that you need to explain for the system everything related to data use and
knowledge creation from data.
