- FDQ 3a – Behavior in an Organization:
- Compare and contrast Ajzen’s theory of planned behavior and Kelley’s theory of casual attribution on behavior. Discuss the biases for both theories that affect the social perception process. What implications do these theories have for your work environment?
- During the week: Come back to review what your peers have posted and respond to at least TWO peers by posting a Reply.
- FDQ 3b – Prejudices and Biases:
- Develop five questions that you may use to examine possible biases toward certain groups of people in your organization. An example of one question: Is training limited to only minority groups and women? The questions should have either a “yes” or “no” answer.
- After you’ve posted your five questions, read your classmates’ questions, select ten questions from your various classmates’ responses, and answer the ten questions using your work organization.
- After answering the ten questions, write a short essay answering the following three questions: What prejudices were discovered by answering the questions? Did you recognize other biases? Did this exercise make you more aware of prejudices that occur around you?
- During the week: Come back to review what your colleagues have posted and respond to at least TWO colleagues by posting a Reply.
