In Chapter 1, we introduced Jack Zhang, a high-ranking manager at a major phar- maceutical company who served as a project manager for new-product development efforts. He had studied books on project management and had learned to use Microsoft Project. Based on his knowledge, Jack created a complete project plan, including a computer-generated schedule, in preparation for his first team meeting. He began the meeting by presenting the plan, anticipating that team members would greatly appreciate his front-end efforts. Instead, he felt that team members were disengaged, and they did not seem interested in the tasks he had assigned them. Jack has come to you for advice on what to do differently. Please do the following:
a. Develop a list of 5 recommendations for Jack, linking each to a concept or idea offered in this chapter.
b. Describe for Jack the likely sources of conflict that may arise if he ignores your recommendations and, instead, continues with his current approach.
Please provide your own work. Thanks.
