In this unit, you will be examining the four functions of management: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling (POLC). Understanding the four functions of management is not enough for a manager to be effective. Managers will need special skills to be able to carry out these functions.
In the simulation there are several areas that will need the attention of the new owner, including the hours of operation and bus schedule.
- How can the new owner work with the existing managers to improve these management issues?
- What additional, specific items can you identify in the simulation that need management attention? Be specific; indicate how the issue can be rectified in the business.
