Do professionals have ethical obligations that ordinary citizens don’t?
In addressing this question I need you to look at all its constituent parts: how do we define a professional? What competing definitions are there of a professional and what are the strengths and weaknesses of each definition? What sorts of ethical obligations do ordinary citizens have? What sorts of ethical obligations do professional have because they are professionals? And then, finally, do professionals have ethical obligations that ordinary citizens don’t?
