Select 2 businesses. Go to one business location. Call another business on the phone. Analyze your experience as a customer first and then take the perspective of a manager/employee.
Part 1: Description and Summary Questions
Give a brief summary of transaction, answering the following:
· What type of service were you seeking?
· Describe the environment?
o What type of industry was it?
o Was it clean?
· Were the employees polite and respectful?
o Give specific examples of their behavior like did they make eye contact you?
o Describe the representative’s tone of voice.
o Were the representatives dressed in appropriate attire and well groomed?
· Was there an attempt by the employee to build a relationship with you?
o Where they able to paraphrase back to your request?
· Did you sense that they were invested in the transaction?
o Provide evidence of why you think they were invested.
· What did the employees you encounter do to anticipate your needs?
o Use details about specific actions and behaviors the representative showcased to describe your experience.
