Corporate Social Responsibility Paper
The paper should be a minimum of eight double-spaced pages [excluding Works Cited], use correct grammar and punctuation, and follow the Modern Languages Association (MLA) style.
Select a company with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, Sustainability Report, or Ethics report. You may find companies on the Global Reporting Initiative Website at http://database.globalreporting.org/search, in the Ethisphere list at http://ethisphere.com/worlds-most-ethical/wme-honorees/, or in the B Lab list http://www.bcorporation.net/community/find-a-b-corp. Use the report, and other documents if needed, to identify and describe the following:
- Evidence of core purpose/mission and core values.
- Evidence of concern for stakeholder groups: employees, customers or clients, suppliers, the community in which it operates, and stockholders.
- Evidence that the CSR initiatives or ethical values are actively focused on social benefit, not simply philanthropy or public relations.
- Evidence that CSR initiatives or ethical values serve as filters for the company’s decision-making process.
- From your evaluation, identify any areas in which you think the company could improve as an ethical organization.
