This 2-5 page draft entails the company you selected with a description of its current data
situation/existing system and the problem you will try to address. Refer to these questions for
some guidance in preparing your first report: What problem is or was the project intended to solve? What is or was the project not intended to solve? Who did the project affect? Who had to make the decisions about implementing it? What are the benefits and flaws of the project? Do you anticipate any challenges? Do you think this project will be easy or difficult to complete? Wrap up this section by presenting your project plan which should include: definition of scope,
goals, expectations, identification of project resources, estimation of time, and selecting of
hypothetical project team members.

Research Introduction
Your introduction must include the following elements:
1. A brief problem statement.
2. A brief overview of the topic from a historical and theoretical perspective.
3. A brief statement of why the problem is significant.
4. A statement on how this research will add to the body of knowledge in the field.
5. A minimum of 3 scholarly references (do not use Wikipedia, or books)
6. The introduction should not exceed 2 pages (minimum 1 page).
