Human Resources and Civil Rights Act
1. The Civil Rights Act has prohibited harassment and
discrimination for almost 50 years now. With that much time, why is it still
such a problem in the workplace?
2. Sexual harassment is a form or sex discrimination. We
have had about 20 years of case law, plenty of lawsuits, and it still ranks as
one of the top issues in the workforce today. How has this ever-present threat
of sexual harassment and discrimination changed the nature of work and the
workplace over the past 20 years?
3. Le’s say that you’re in HR and you receive a complaint of
harassment and discrimination. How would you go about receiving the complaint
and dealing with it? What steps would you take to ensure that the complaint is
properly addressed?
4. What would you recommend be done to reduce the propensity
of harassment and discrimination in the workplace?
